Millennials, already understandable to all, are being replaced by a new generation – Generation Z – born between 1996 and 2010. About their preferences and why they are so drawn to offline stores, says Valentin Kuznetsov, head of the BTL department of the Trust Group advertising agency

Representatives of Generation Z or Generation I are commonly referred to as adult children. They are dreamy, creative, and emotional. This is how older people (born before the 90s) think, evaluating the social behavior of the “zetas.” The business has a different theory on this. Retailers, for example, see iGeneration as a new generation of customers who will soon change the world beyond recognition. And so they need close attention. They look at the retail space. Differently, they do not perceive advertising motivators; they make a purchase decision differently than everyone else. To sell to generation Z, you need not just new “chips.” You need to change the approach to communication with the client altogether and then your business processes.
